Easter Sunday

I have had several experiences over the years of bidding at auction on different things. When my wife and I were engaged we purchased a block of land and went through the “nail biting" auction process. More recently, I love bidding online for various items. In an auction, you go through the process of not knowing if what you have offered will secure the item. There is of course much joy when the hammer comes down or the screen flashes letting you know that you have been successful.

Easter Sunday is one event where we remember that the price Jesus paid for our sin has been accepted by the Father. The final declaration is seen in the resurrection of Jesus from the grave. Jesus died for our sins and the penalty of that sin is death. The question that the world would ask is, was Jesus substitutionary death on the cross enough to pay for the sin of the whole world and can we by faith in Him once more have a relationship with the Father? The answer is Yes. Romans 1:4 says" ....And who through the Holy Spirit was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead; Jesus Christ our Lord."

The resurrection of Jesus from death is God’s way of letting the world know that Jesus sacrifice is sufficient. Jesus offering was successful. Praise God!
